The night technically starts at sunset, so it’s important to use the time wisely from that point onwards. Fully Rewarded By Allah Almighty

 

On this special night, a part of the Quran called Suratul-Alaq tells us to read the Quran and worship Allah. This can guide us on how to spend the night. Simply by praying Isha and Fajr together with a group of people on Laylatul-Qadr night, one can get many rewards. Prophet Muhammad PBUH said that attending the Isha prayer with a group is like standing for half of the night in prayer, and praying Isha and Fajr together with a group is like standing for the entire night. Additionally, if someone attends the Isha prayer on Laylatul-Qadr, they have received their share of rewards. Allah accepts the dua of laylatul qadar.

A narration by Aisha (RA) states that she asked the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) what supplications she should make on this night. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) replied by reciting the following verse. “Allahumma, innaka Afuwwun Karimun, tuḥibbu al-afwa fa’afu anna,” This verse translates, “O Allah, indeed You are Pardoning and Generous; You love to pardon, so pardon us.”

 

Cleansing Of Soul

 

Every day, humans tend to commit both major and minor sins. For Muslims, the Night of Power provides an opportunity to seek forgiveness from Allah SWT for their past transgressions. They can do it through repentance. Muslims give zakat to those in need as a means of compensating for their sins.

 

According to Abu Hurairah (RA), Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) stated that the voluntary night of prayer during Ramadan, also known as Laylatul Qadr. This night is an occasion for forgiveness. Whoever stands in prayer during this night with faith and the hope of receiving a reward will have their previous sins forgiven. Additionally, Muslims spend the entire night in prayer during Lailatul Qadr with faith and the hope of attaining a reward.
